About me

Hello! I’m Mark Iolani, an independent writer, essayist, and lifelong observer of the world around me. Living in a cold, northern country has taught me to notice the small details—the way light reflects off the snow, the quiet rhythm of winter days, and the stories hidden in everyday moments. These observations often find their way into my writing.

My Journey

I began my career as a journalist for a local magazine, covering everything from school events to community stories. Over the years, I realized my passion was not only reporting facts but exploring the deeper layers of human experience. This led me to focus on essays, reflections, and in-depth explorations of topics I care about, from education and writing to personal growth and creativity.
